Commercial submerged Arc welder Machine

Commercial submerged Arc welder Machine Manufacturer

A commercial submerged arc welder is the working SAW power source for everyday production in fabrication shops: beam and column welding, tank shells, pipe spools and butt joints in heavy plate. The arc runs under a layer of granular flux, with the wire driven continuously into the joint, so there is no visible arc and very little spatter or fume. What decides the right machine is mainly the current your welding procedure needs and the power available in your shop.

Paragweld's Commercial Series comes in two ratings: the MZ 1250, with an output range of 100 to 1250 A, and the MZ 1000, with 100 to 1000 A. Both are IGBT inverter machines running on a three-phase 415 V ±15% supply, rated for a 100% duty cycle at 85% efficiency, with a 44 V rated output voltage. They take 3.15 to 6.30 mm electrodes and share a compact 760 x 380 x 820 mm cabinet.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

On paper, yes. Both have an output range of 100 to 1250 A, a 44 V rated output voltage, a 100% duty cycle and 85% efficiency, and both draw 79.93 kVA from a 415 V three-phase supply. The main listed difference is the cabinet: the Commercial MZ 1250 measures 760 x 380 x 820 mm, against 810 x 405 x 810 mm for the Premium model. Ask our team if you would like a detailed comparison.
Both models need a three-phase 415 V ±15%, 50/60 Hz supply. The MZ 1000 is rated at 63.95 kVA and 84 A input, and the MZ 1250 at 79.93 kVA and 98 A, so check that your supply and cabling can carry this load. Each power source measures 760 x 380 x 820 mm, so it takes up little floor space beside the welding station.
Both models accept electrodes, which in SAW means the continuous wire, from 3.15 to 6.30 mm in diameter. Smaller sizes suit lower currents and thinner sections, while larger wires carry higher currents for faster deposition on heavy plate. The MZ 1250 gives more current headroom for the larger sizes. Our team can help you match wire size, current and flux to your joint.
Yes. Both models are rated for a 100% duty cycle, so they can weld at rated output without rest periods, which matters on long seams and multi-shift work. The constant-current output and arc voltage compensation keep the arc stable along the seam, and the inverter switches at 20 kHz, above the audible range, so the machines run with very little noise.
The power source supplies the welding current, but a SAW set-up also needs a way to move the welding head along the joint or to turn the job under it. Paragweld builds welding rotators with payload capacities from 2 MT to 60 MT, and column and boom manipulators with 1 to 4 m strokes for circumferential and longitudinal seams.
