Air plasma cutting uses a jet of ionised gas (plasma) at extremely high temperature to melt and eject metal from a cut, producing fast, precise cuts on electrically conductive materials — including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, and brass. Unlike oxyfuel cutting, plasma cutting works on all conductive metals and produces narrower kerf widths with less heat-affected zone.
