LGK Air Plasma Cut 40

Paragweld LGK Air Plasma Cut 40

Parag Weld Cut 40

Product Description :-

The CUT 40 is a compact single-phase air plasma cutter from the Paragweld CUT series, made for cutting thin mild steel, stainless steel and other conductive sheet metal. Its small size makes it handy for sheet metal workshops, repair and maintenance work, and site jobs where only a single-phase supply is available.

It runs on AC 220 V ±15% at 50/60 Hz, with a rated input power of 4.8 kVA and a rated input current of 22 A. The rated output voltage is 96 V, the duty cycle is 60% and efficiency is 85%, with a power factor of 0.93. Arc starting is listed as HF (Touch), the housing is rated IP21 with class F insulation, and the machine weighs 8 kg with dimensions of 375 x 150 x 235 mm.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The CUT 40 is the smallest air plasma cutter in the Paragweld CUT series. It runs on single-phase power, weighs 8 kg and measures 375 x 150 x 235 mm, so it is easy to carry. It suits light sheet metal work such as ducting, panels, auto body repair, maintenance jobs and small workshops that cut thin mild steel and stainless steel.
Yes. The CUT 40 runs on AC 220 V ±15% at 50/60 Hz, single phase. Its rated input power is 4.8 kVA and its rated input current is 22 A, so it needs a properly rated circuit and socket rather than a light-duty household point. Make sure the supply is earthed, and if you use a generator, size it for the machine load.
The spec table lists the arcing way of the CUT 40 as HF (Touch), while the CUT 60, CUT 105 Pro and CUT 160 Pro use HF pilot arc starting. A pilot arc machine can start without the torch touching the job and handles painted, rusty or mesh material more easily. If much of your work is on such material, consider a pilot arc model such as the CUT 60.
A 60% duty cycle means the CUT 40 can cut for about 6 minutes in every 10-minute period at its rated output and then needs about 4 minutes to cool. For typical sheet metal work, where cuts are short with gaps for marking and handling, this is usually enough. Keep the vents clear so the machine cools properly.
The CUT 40 cuts with compressed air, so you need a compressor that holds steady pressure while the torch is running, along with a filter and moisture trap in the line. Moisture or oil in the air shortens electrode and nozzle life and gives rough cuts. Our team can advise on the right pressure setting and compressor size for your work.
Choose the CUT 40 if you need a light, portable machine on a single-phase 220 V supply for thin sheet work. The CUT 60 needs a three-phase 415 V supply, has a 20-60 A output range, uses HF pilot arc starting and weighs 25 kg. It suits heavier daily cutting.
