Parag Weld TIG 630 IJ

Product Description :-

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, also know as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area is protected from atmospheric contamination by a shielding gas (usually an inert gas such as argon), and a filler is normally used. A constant-current welding power supply produces energy which is conducted across the arc through a column of highly ionized gas & metal vapors know as a plasma.

GTAW is most commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. The process grants the operator greater control over the weld than competing processes such shielding metal arc welding & gas metal arc welding, allowing for stronger, higher quality welds. However, GTAW is comparatively more complex and difficult to master, and furthermore, it is significantly slower than most other welding techniques. A related process, plasma arc welding, uses a slightly different welding torch to create a more focused welding arc & as a result is often automated.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The TIG 630 IJ is the largest machine in our TIG welder series. It is meant for heavy industrial TIG work where high current is needed, such as thick-walled pipe, heavy plate and large stainless steel fabrications. For the exact output current range for your application, please speak to our team before you order.
The specification table lists electrode diameters of 1.6-5.0 mm and 1.6-6.3 mm. The 6.3 mm upper limit is the largest in our TIG range: the 400 A models list up to 5.0 mm and the TIG 300IGBT up to 3.15 mm. This reflects the heavier work the TIG 630 IJ is built for.
Yes. The specification table lists the arcing method as high frequency arc. The arc strikes without the tungsten touching the workpiece, so the tip stays in shape and no tungsten is left in the weld. This matters on critical joints in thick material, where every restart needs to be clean.
The TIG 630 IJ can weld for about six minutes in every ten at its rated output before it needs to rest. On heavy, high-current passes this is the figure to plan around, while at lower settings it can weld for longer. The table also lists 85% efficiency and a power factor of 0.93.
The TIG 630 IJ weighs 45 kg and measures 580 x 300 x 250 mm, so move it with two people or a trolley. It needs a three-phase AC 415 V (±15%), 50/60 Hz supply. Please confirm the input rating with our team before your electrician sizes the cable, and keep the IP21 housing dry.
If your work stays within 400 A, the TIG 400 IJ (24 kg) or TIG 400IGBT (21.5 kg) is lighter and easier to move. The TIG 630 IJ, at 45 kg with electrodes up to 6.3 mm, is meant for heavier sections. Call +91 90990 14043 with your material and thickness and we will suggest the right model.
