Product Description :-

The Paragweld WCD 400 range covers replacement parts and consumables for WCD 400 pattern TIG torches. These are the parts that wear out or need changing to suit the job, such as the nozzle, the collet that grips the tungsten and the back cap. Keeping a set of spares at hand lets you replace a cracked nozzle or match the collet to a new tungsten size without a long stop in production.

The parts list includes ceramic caps in 6, 8 and 10 mm sizes, collet bodies and collets in 1.6, 2.0 and 2.4 mm sizes, a gasket, a torch body, a flexible torch body and a pencil torch body, long and short caps, and a torch cover with switch. Contact our team with the item and size you need.

The WCD 400 list covers ten items: ceramic caps (6, 8 and 10 mm), collet bodies and collets (1.6, 2.0 and 2.4 mm), a gasket, a torch body, a flexible torch body, a pencil torch body, a long cap, a short cap and a torch cover with switch. Together they cover the main wear parts and body options for this torch.
The collet and collet body must match the diameter of your tungsten electrode. For the WCD 400 we list 1.6, 2.0 and 2.4 mm sizes, so a 2.4 mm tungsten needs a 2.4 mm collet and collet body. A wrong size grips the tungsten poorly, which can lead to overheating and an unsteady arc.
Replace the ceramic cap when it is cracked, chipped at the tip or heavily coated with spatter, because a damaged cap disturbs the gas shield and can cause porosity. We list 6, 8 and 10 mm sizes. Smaller caps suit tight joints and lower currents, while larger caps give wider gas cover on bigger welds.
All three are listed for the WCD 400. The standard torch body is the usual choice for general work. A flexible torch body has a neck that can be bent to reach awkward joints and corners. A pencil torch body is slimmer, which helps on fine work and in tight spaces where a standard head will not fit.
Both caps close the back of the torch and press the collet onto the tungsten. The long cap takes a full-length tungsten, so you can weld longer before regrinding or replacing it. The short cap uses a shorter tungsten and makes the torch more compact for tight corners and close-access work.
