Product Description :-

Paragweld welding electrodes are flux-coated consumable rods for manual metal arc (MMA or stick) welding. They are used with ARC welding machines to join mild steel in fabrication, structural work, repair and maintenance, where an easy-to-use electrode with a smooth arc is needed.

The advantages listed for these electrodes are low spatter on mild steel plates, low gas, smooth welding and easy flux chipping. They come in four sizes: 2.50 x 350 mm, 3.15 x 350 mm, 4.00 x 450 mm and 5.00 x 450 mm. Each box holds 4 packets of 5 kg each, giving a net weight of 20 kg per box.

They are flux-coated electrodes for manual metal arc (stick) welding of mild steel. Typical uses include fabrication, structural steel, gates and grills, tanks, and repair and maintenance work. They run on an ARC welding machine, and the advantages listed for them are low spatter on mild steel plates, low gas, smooth welding and easy flux chipping.
Four sizes are listed: 2.50 x 350 mm, 3.15 x 350 mm, 4.00 x 450 mm and 5.00 x 450 mm. The first figure is the core wire diameter and the second is the electrode length. Smaller sizes suit thinner sections and positional work, while the 4.00 mm and 5.00 mm sizes are used on thicker plate and for filling joints faster.

The right current depends on the electrode type, the joint and the welding position, so always follow the range printed on the packet. As a rough guide, larger diameters need more current, so a 2.50 mm electrode runs at a much lower setting than a 5.00 mm one. Start in the middle of the recommended range and adjust for a smooth, steady arc and easy slag removal.
Store electrodes in a dry, covered place, off the floor and away from water, oil and condensation. Keep packets sealed until needed and close opened packets after use. Damp electrodes can cause porosity, a harsh arc and more spatter. If electrodes have picked up moisture, follow the drying instructions on the packet before using them.
They can be used with Paragweld ARC welding machines, which range from the ARC 200 (20 to 200 A) to the ARC 1000. The MIG 400I can also do MMA welding with rutile and hardfacing electrodes from 2.50 to 5.00 mm, the same size range as these electrodes. Choose a machine whose current range comfortably covers the electrode size you use most.
