Paragweld TIG 200A

Product Description :-

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, also know as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area is protected from atmospheric contamination by a shielding gas (usually an inert gas such as argon), and a filler is normally used. A constant-current welding power supply produces energy which is conducted across the arc through a column of highly ionized gas & metal vapors know as a plasma.

GTAW is most commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. The process grants the operator greater control over the weld than competing processes such shielding metal arc welding & gas metal arc welding, allowing for stronger, higher quality welds. However, GTAW is comparatively more complex and difficult to master, and furthermore, it is significantly slower than most other welding techniques. A related process, plasma arc welding, uses a slightly different welding torch to create a more focused welding arc & as a result is often automated.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The TIG 200A is the smallest machine in our TIG welder series, with an output current range of 10-200 A. That makes it a good fit for thin sheet, light fabrication, tube work and repair jobs on stainless steel, mild steel and other metals that are TIG welded. At 10 kg it is also easy to move around a workshop or carry to site.
The TIG 200A runs on a three-phase AC 415 V supply with a tolerance of ±15%, at 50 or 60 Hz. Ask an electrician to provide a correctly rated three-phase socket, cable and protection before you install it. If you only have a single-phase connection, the TIG 200p in our Pulse TIG/MMA AC/DC series is listed for a 220 V single-phase input.
Duty cycle is the share of a 10-minute period for which a machine can weld at its rated output before it must rest. At 60%, the TIG 200A can weld for about six minutes and then needs around four minutes to cool. At lower currents, which is common on thin material, it can weld for longer without a break.
The specification table lists a wire diameter of 1.6-2.0 mm and an electrode diameter of 1.6-3.15 mm for the TIG 200A. These sizes match the light to medium work the machine is meant for. If your jobs need larger sizes and more current, look at the TIG 250A or the 400 A models in the same series.
Both are three-phase 415 V machines with a 60% duty cycle. The TIG 200A covers 10-200 A, weighs 10 kg and has a compact 395 x 153 x 301 mm body. The TIG 250A extends the range to 10-250 A and weighs 16 kg. Choose the TIG 200A if most of your work is on thin material and portability matters.
The TIG 200A has an IP21 housing, which guards against touching internal parts and vertically dripping water but not rain, so keep it dry and covered outdoors. Leave space around the machine for cooling air, blow out dust from time to time with dry air while it is switched off, and check cables and connections for damage before each shift.
