Parag Weld ARC 300G

Product Description :-

Manual Metal Arc Welding, also know as Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Flux Shielded Arc Welding or informally as stick welding, is a manual arc welding process that uses a consumable electrode coted in flux to lay the weld. An electrode current, in the form of either AC or DC from a welding power supply, is used to from an electric arc between the electrode and the metal to be joined.

Because of versatility of process and simplicity of its equipments and operation, shielded metal arc welding is one of the worlds most popular welding processes. The process is used primarily to weld and steels (including stainless steel) but Aluminium, Nickel and Copper Alloys can also be welded with this method.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The ARC 300G suits fabrication shops and maintenance teams that need more current than a 200 A or 250 A machine. It is a three-phase stick (MMA) welder with a 20-300 A output range and a 60% duty cycle, so it can handle longer runs with 3.15 mm electrodes on thicker mild steel sections.
Both give 20-300 A, take 1.6-3.15 mm electrodes and have a 60% duty cycle. The ARC 300G adds an adjustable force range of 0-100 A, a 0.93 power factor and a 9.4 kVA rating, and weighs 17.5 kg. The ARC 300GS is rated at 10.2 kVA, weighs only 9 kg and does not list a force range. Pick the 300G for arc force control and the 300GS for portability.
The ARC 300G is designed for a three-phase 415 V AC supply (plus or minus 15%) at 50/60 Hz, with a rated input power of 9.4 kVA. Use a properly rated breaker and isolator, a sound earth and input cable of the right size. A qualified electrician should check the supply before the machine is installed.
Use the lower part of the range for thin sheet and small electrodes, and the upper part for 3.15 mm electrodes on thicker plate. The 0-100 A force control helps prevent the electrode sticking when the arc gets short. Start with a moderate force setting and raise it for vertical or overhead welding where a stronger arc helps.
At its rated output the ARC 300G can weld for about 6 minutes in every 10 minutes and then needs roughly 4 minutes to cool. At lower current settings you can weld for longer before a rest is needed. Keep the machine in a well ventilated spot with its air vents clear so it cools efficiently.
The ARC 300G has Class F insulation and an IP21 housing, so keep it dry and use it indoors or under cover. Switch off and disconnect power before cleaning dust from inside. Check cables, the electrode holder and the earth clamp for damage, and always wear a welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing.
