Product Description :-

The 400 A MIG welding accessories are replacement parts for a 400 A MIG torch, used for heavier MIG/MAG welding in fabrication shops, structural steel yards and production lines. At higher currents the front-end parts of the torch wear faster, so keeping these spares at hand helps avoid long stops and keeps weld quality steady.

The range has ten items: a conical nozzle, a tapered conical nozzle, a gas diffuser, an insulator, a tip holder and a swan neck, all in 400 A size, plus a torch handle with switch. Contact tips are listed in 0.8 mm, 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm, in both copper and copper-chromium-zirconium, and the MIG liner comes in 3.5 metre and 5.5 metre lengths.

These cover the wear parts of the torch from the nozzle back to the handle.
They are sized for 400 A MIG torches, the usual match for 400 A class machines such as the Paragweld MIG 400 Pro and MIG 400I, both of which give 40 to 400 A and take 0.8 to 1.2 mm wire. Choose a torch rated at or above the current you actually weld at. For regular work above 400 A, look at the 500 A range instead.
The tapered conical nozzle has a narrower front end, which gives better access and a clearer view in tight corners, deep grooves and fillet joints. The standard conical nozzle has a wider opening and gives broader gas coverage, which helps on open joints and at higher currents. Keeping both lets the welder switch between them to suit the joint.
The insulator sits between the nozzle and the live parts at the front of the torch. It keeps the nozzle electrically isolated from the tip holder, so the nozzle does not carry welding current if it touches the job. A cracked or burnt insulator can cause arcing between the nozzle and the work, so replace it as soon as you see damage.
Choose the liner that matches your torch cable length. The 3.5 metre liner suits standard-length torches used close to the machine or wire feeder. The 5.5 metre liner is for longer torch cables that give more reach around large jobs. With a longer cable, keep the liner clean and the cable run as straight as possible for smooth wire feeding.
Match the tip to the wire diameter. The 400 A range lists tips for 0.8 mm, 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm wire. On a 400 A machine running 1.2 mm wire, 1.2 mm tips are the ones used most.
