Product Description :-

The 24 KD MIG welding accessories are replacement parts and consumables for a 24 KD pattern MIG torch. They cover the parts at the front of the torch that wear out with use, such as the nozzle and contact tip, as well as the swan neck, handle, end connector and liner. Workshops keep them in stock so a torch can be serviced quickly and welding can continue without long stops.

The range listed here includes a conical nozzle, contact tips in 0.8 mm and 1.2 mm sizes (in both copper and copper-chromium-zirconium), a tip holder, a gas diffuser and a swan neck, all in 24 KD size. It also includes a torch handle with switch, a 24 KD end connector and a 3.5 metre MIG liner.

The 24 KD range lists nine items: a conical nozzle, contact tips in copper (E-Cu) and copper-chromium-zirconium (E-Cu-Cr-Zr), a tip holder, a gas diffuser, a swan neck, a torch handle with switch, an end connector and a 3.5 metre MIG liner. These are the parts that usually need replacing during the working life of a 24 KD torch.
The 24 KD contact tips are listed in 0.8 mm and 1.2 mm sizes. Always fit a tip that matches the wire diameter on the spool. A tip that is too large gives an unstable arc, and one that is too small causes the wire to jam. The 0.8 mm tips suit lighter machines such as the Paragweld MIG 250F, which runs 0.8 to 1.0 mm wire.
E-Cu tips are made of copper and are the standard, economical choice for general work. E-Cu-Cr-Zr tips are made of a copper-chromium-zirconium alloy, which stays harder at high temperature and resists wear from the moving wire. They usually last longer at higher currents and in long production runs. Both types are listed for the 24 KD torch.
There is no fixed interval, as it depends on the current, wire type and hours of welding. Replace the contact tip when its bore wears oval or the arc starts to wander. Clean or replace the conical nozzle when spatter builds up and disturbs the gas flow. Using anti-spatter spray or gel helps the nozzle and gas diffuser last longer.
Change the liner when the wire starts to feed unevenly, stutters or needs extra drive roll pressure. Dust, copper flakes and wire shavings collect inside the liner over time. When fitting a new liner, cut it to the correct length for the torch so the wire is supported right up to the tip holder. The 24 KD range lists a 3.5 metre liner.
The 24 KD is the smallest torch pattern in the Paragweld MIG accessories range, which also includes 36 KD, 400 A and 500 A. It suits lighter work at lower currents, such as sheet metal with 0.8 mm wire. For regular welding at higher currents or with larger wire, choose a bigger torch pattern.
