Parag Weld TIG 400IGBT

Product Description :-

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, also know as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area is protected from atmospheric contamination by a shielding gas (usually an inert gas such as argon), and a filler is normally used. A constant-current welding power supply produces energy which is conducted across the arc through a column of highly ionized gas & metal vapors know as a plasma.

GTAW is most commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. The process grants the operator greater control over the weld than competing processes such shielding metal arc welding & gas metal arc welding, allowing for stronger, higher quality welds. However, GTAW is comparatively more complex and difficult to master, and furthermore, it is significantly slower than most other welding techniques. A related process, plasma arc welding, uses a slightly different welding torch to create a more focused welding arc & as a result is often automated.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The TIG 400IGBT is a high-current TIG welder with a 10-400 A output range and high frequency arc starting. It suits heavy fabrication, pipe work and thick stainless steel, where you need plenty of current and clean arc starts without touching the job, while still being able to weld thinner material at lower settings.
The TIG 400IGBT runs on a three-phase AC 415 V supply (±15%) at 50/60 Hz, and the table lists rated input power of 26 and 18 kVA. Have an electrician install a dedicated connection, and please confirm the input current rating with our team on +91 90990 14043 before you choose the cable and breaker.
The specification table lists electrode diameters of 1.6-4.00 mm and 1.6-5.00 mm for this model. The upper limit of 5.0 mm is larger than on the TIG 300IGBT, which lists up to 3.15 mm, and reflects the higher 400 A output available for thick sections and heavier work.
A high frequency start puts a high-voltage spark across the gap, so the arc strikes without the tungsten touching the job. This protects the tungsten tip and keeps tungsten out of the weld pool. On thick joints welded at high current, clean restarts help each run fuse properly. Keep sensitive electronics away from the torch leads while welding.
The TIG 400IGBT weighs 21.5 kg and measures 530 x 270 x 435 mm. It is lighter than the TIG 400A (25 kg) and the TIG 400 IJ (24 kg), which also reach 400 A. Two people or a trolley can move it easily, and its IP21 housing should be kept dry and out of the rain.
The TIG 400IGBT is rated at a 60% duty cycle, which means about six minutes of welding at rated output in every ten-minute period. The table lists 85% efficiency, a power factor of 0.93 and a no-load loss of 45 W, so the machine wastes relatively little power while it sits idle between welds.
