Product Description :-

The Paragweld Pulse TIG 315p AC/DC is a three-phase welding machine in our Pulse TIG/MMA AC/DC welder series, combining TIG and MMA welding in one power source. As an AC/DC model, it suits fabrication shops that weld aluminium as well as mild steel and stainless steel, and that need more current than the single-phase 200 A models provide.

It runs on a three-phase AC 415 V ±15% supply at 50/60 Hz and covers an output current range of 10-315 A at a 60% duty cycle. The table lists rated input power of 12.9 and 8.9 kVA, rated input current of 19.6 and 13.5 A, a no-load voltage of 54 V, 85% efficiency and a power factor of 0.93. It takes wire and electrodes of 1.6-3.15 mm, has class F insulation and an IP21 housing, weighs 30 kg and measures 570 x 364 x 540 mm.

The Pulse TIG 315p AC/DC suits fabrication and maintenance shops that weld aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel from thin sheet up to medium sections. Its 10-315 A output range gives more headroom than the 200 A models, and because it combines TIG and MMA welding, the same machine can also run stick electrodes when needed.
It needs a three-phase AC 415 V supply (±15%) at 50/60 Hz. The table lists rated input power of 12.9 and 8.9 kVA and rated input current of 19.6 and 13.5 A. Share these figures with your electrician so the cable, isolator and breaker are sized correctly for the machine.
It is the middle AC/DC model. The TIG 200p AC/DC runs on single-phase 220 V for smaller workshops, while the TIG 400p AC/DC reaches 400 A and lists electrodes up to 4.0 mm. The 315p AC/DC covers 10-315 A on three-phase 415 V, which suits shops that want more current than a 200 A machine without going to 400 A.
Yes, that is the main reason to choose an AC/DC model. Aluminium has a tough oxide layer that an AC output breaks up during welding, which is why AC TIG is the usual process for aluminium and its alloys. For mild steel, stainless steel and copper, DC TIG is used. The 315p AC/DC lets you do both on one machine.
The specification table lists wire and electrode diameters of 1.6-3.15 mm. This range covers most sheet, tube and medium-section work in aluminium and steel. If you regularly need 4.0 mm electrodes and currents up to 400 A, the TIG 400p AC/DC in the same series is the larger option.
The machine weighs 30 kg and measures 570 x 364 x 540 mm, so plan to move it on a trolley or with two people. Place it on a level surface with space around the vents for cooling air. The housing is rated IP21 with class F insulation, so keep it indoors or covered and away from water.
