TIG 200p AC/DC Machine

TIG 200p AC/DC Machine Manufacturer

TIG 200p AC/DC

Product Description :-

The Paragweld TIG 200p AC/DC is a welding machine in our Pulse TIG/MMA AC/DC welder series, where each model combines TIG and MMA welding in one power source. As an AC/DC model, it is intended for workshops that weld aluminium as well as mild steel and stainless steel. AC TIG is the usual choice for aluminium because the AC cycle breaks up the oxide layer on the surface, while DC TIG is used for steels.

This model runs on a single-phase AC 220 V ±15% supply at 50/60 Hz, so it can be used where three-phase power is not available. The specification table lists a 60% duty cycle, high frequency arc starting, a power factor of 0.93, class F insulation and an IP21 housing. For the output current range, weight and dimensions of this model, please contact our team.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The TIG 200p AC/DC is aimed at small and medium workshops that weld aluminium as well as steel and stainless steel, but only have a single-phase supply. As part of our Pulse TIG/MMA series it combines TIG and MMA welding, so the same machine can also run stick electrodes for tacking and repair work.
Aluminium is covered by a tough oxide layer that melts at a much higher temperature than the metal below it. An AC output breaks up this layer during welding, which is why AC TIG is the usual choice for aluminium and its alloys. DC TIG is used for mild steel, stainless steel and copper. An AC/DC machine lets you do both.
Yes. The TIG 200p AC/DC is listed for a single-phase AC 220 V supply with a ±15% tolerance, at 50/60 Hz. It is one of two machines in the series, with the TIG 200p, that do not need three-phase power. Use a dedicated socket and suitably rated cable, and ask our team if you are unsure about your connection.
Both run on single-phase 220 V and are rated at a 60% duty cycle. The AC/DC model is meant for aluminium as well as steel, and its table lists high frequency arc starting. The TIG 200p covers 10-200 A and weighs 10 kg. If you weld aluminium, the AC/DC model is the one to look at; our team can confirm the details.
A high frequency start sends a high-voltage spark across the gap between the tungsten and the job, so the arc strikes without touching. This keeps the tungsten tip clean and sharp and stops tungsten getting into the weld. It is especially useful on aluminium and thin stainless steel, where a contaminated start spoils the look and quality of the weld.
Some figures for this model, including the output current range, weight and dimensions, should be confirmed with our team before you order. Call us on +91 90990 14043, use the Inquiry Now form on this page or reach us through our contact page, and tell us the metals and thicknesses you weld.
